The Living Fire (also called Eternal Flames) of Lopătari is a spectacular natural phenomenon, located in Buzău county, where natural gases emerge from cracks in the earth and ignite, forming flames that can reach up to one meter high. These flames are colored and, under certain conditions, can burn continuously or go out depending on weather conditions. It is a rare and impressive phenomenon and is particularly visible at night.

Pension Poiana Mărului is located in the Curved Carpathians, in the northern part of Buzău County, in the commune of Bisoca, a locality full of historical and geographical sights. The pension is surrounded by forest, with panoramic views of a natural mountain landscape.
The guesthouse has a traditional-style dining room with traditionally styled solid wood tables and chairs, where you can enjoy delicious local dishes through the Local Gastronomic Point open here.
