Fortress Deva

The Deva Fortress is located on a volcanic hill above the city of Deva. It was built in the 13th century and is considered an important defensive structure in the Transylvania region.The fortress impresses with its massive walls, multiple defensive rings, and a former princely palace. Visitors can easily reach the site via a funicular railway that leads directly to the main entrance.
