The Princely Fortress of Suceava was built between 1375 and 1391 under Petru I Mușat and served as the residence of Moldavian rulers for over 200 years. Ștefan cel Mare reinforced it in the 15th century. After its destruction by the Ottomans in 1675, it was abandoned. Restoration began in the 19th century and was completed between 2011 and 2015. Today, visitors can explore the restored rooms and see an exhibition on the “Treasure of Moldavia” and multimedia installations.
