Banffy Castle
Located around 35 km northwest of Cluj-Napoca, Castelul Bánffy in Bonțida was built in the 16th century and extended in the Baroque style in the 18th century under the direction of Dénes Bánffy. After years of decay, the Transylvania Trust Foundation began restoring the castle in 2001, and it was returned to the Bánffy family in 2008. Today, the castle serves as a cultural center and event venue.
